Just got back from being TDY with the Air Force to a place further north than I have ever been before. Of course being late January it wasn't exactly "warm". In fact it was the coldest environment I have ever been in before (or probably will ever be in again). I have been in -25 F before, and I thought that was bad.

THIS is what -63 F looks like!

This pic was actually very painfull to pose for, because literally my skin on my face was freezing

Once we got in the air it wasn't so terrible, but I could not believe what -63 F felt like!

It was so cold, you felt the sting of your nostrils freezing with every breath you would take.

Damn. Like everyone else said...that's ridiculous!
The coldest it gets in my area (without windchill) is usually about 2* F. With windchill putting it at -10, I always think I'm going to die. And someone will come along and eat me, like in the movie Alive.

I really like that pic as well. Unfortunatly I used a my wide angled lense to shoot it, giving it the look that I wanted, and the glass quality is not as high as the other lense I have, and it isn't quite as sharp.
