So basically everyone I know around here argues how old a girl has to be here in KY before you can date her and not have to be worried about getting dragged off to jail if she gets pissed lol. Don't worry, we're all 18-19 years old, we're not 30 year old guys trying to pick up high schoolers. I've been reading KY statues and such lately anyways because I'm planning on joining the police force and I want to be up to date. I've read two parts of KY state law referring to this subject, one says that the age of consent is 16, and the other says that participating in sexual activities w/ someone under the age of 18 is a class C felony. Those aren't word for word but that's the basic idea. I don't know if maybe someone here is a lawyer or perhaps a paralegal and could shed some light on this. Here are the links:
Consent (http://www.lrc.ky.gov/KRS/510-00/020.PDF)
Unlawful Transaction (http://www.lrc.ky.gov/KRS/530-00/064.PDF)

I would assume that age of consent is 16 unless a illegal sexual act is being performed such as something like sodomy or the like that is illegal in most states. Not that I know anything. I am starting my first legal class this semester

I was 20 when I started dating my now wife, she was 16. As bad as it sounds I just turned 20 and she was a junior in HS. Hey, I had to find a young one to take care of me in my old age .
