im leaning towards a set of deep dish c5's 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear,,is chrome the only way to go with a all white car?
while we're at it any other suggestions for wheels,,im looking at oewheelsllc

white is a neutral color. you can do whatever you want. black, chrome, polished, dark gray, silver, colored......

Im a huge fan of chrome rims on a white car.
you should photoshop some different wheels on your car, see what you prefer.

i was going to get the c5 DD from OE. I saw them on a local car up close and did not like the staggered 17/18. Just didnt look right, especially with stock Lt1 brakes. I went C4 DD from them. 17x9.5/17x11. Tire price and selection is more reasonable. If they make a c5 DD in the same sizes I have now i will prob get them.

Anyway I like chrome on a white car.

well they have a 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear set but as i look at tires my size choice may get made for me,,holy shit 18in tires are expensive

lol... i kinda meant the same thing... lay your finger over the black parts of my cars top half, and see if you still like the look of black wheels against the white...

Honestly, the right wheels in chrome, will always look good in white. I love my Z06's with the 17/18 stagger.... if you do decide on black... make sure you still have a polished lip.... all black against the tires, becomes TO MUCH black.

Like even the ones on my vette with that fine machined edge breaks up the black!

i have the hardest time deciding shit like that,,its not a purchase ill be able to make more than once so im scared to death ill make the wrong choice and be stuck with it,,i knew what you meant but i couldnt decide so i was wanting your oppinion with the whole black no black thing,,part of me thinks the black would be sweet but the other part will never have the courage to pull the trigger..

If you have not chosen anything by the time the shoot out comes around you can try mine on.....assuming you bring your car....

I would go with chrome, since the car is all white.

If you had the black sail panel, then I would go with the black wheels/polished lip.

yeah they are both close,,tire rack was actually about 30 bucks more after shipping,,tires were a little more at discount but they have free shipping,at least on ebay they do,,so at the end discount was about 30 cheaper..about 950 bucks,,funny since i paid 425 for my bfg's from discount for my stockers,,no wonder ive kept the 16's so long:(

thanks man,,did you get the 9.5 10.5 set or 10.5 all around? what size tire did you use for front?
also did you have to do anything to make the rears fit good? ie bfh or spacer?

I have 17x9.5 on the front with 275/40/17's. The moment the car hit the ground with the 17's I knew I should have done 18's on the front. When it's time for tires I'll order 18" wheels and tires for the front. Haven't decided on width yet

The rears took a little BFHing but it wasn't bad. I also removed the bump stop since they were just about rotted away anyways. I am going to get probably a 3/16 or 1/4" spacer for them sooner or later because they are still very close to where the bump stops were mounted. If your lowered you'll need an adjustable phb and maybe roll the fenders

I love how they stick out. They are still just about flush with the top of the wheel well, not sunk in like my 17x9.5's were. The spacer will be for clearance inside the quarter, but it may helps looks too

I did black C6 Z06 wheels from OEWheels and they look great, but my car is a Cinnamon red. But I did a 17x9.5 front with 275/40/17 and 18x10.5 rear with 295/35/18. Now I already had the 18" tires. so i had to only get the 17" ones. I had a set of C5 Z06 Motorsports in 18x9.5 originally, long story short, I got the new wheels. I am gonna get either 305 or 315 next. after I finish eating the tread on the 295s. Just my $.02

I had the same issue with the DD C5's. I want the 18x10.5/9.5 setup but tire prices kept scaring me away. They just need to make the 17x11/9.5 setup. I don't know why they keep wasting their time with just 17x9.5's... they have like no lip, so they don't look that great.

I have the OEwheelsllc black Z06 C6 wheels with BFG KDWs. Black on black. but my car is a cinnamon red color. Similar to burnt orange. so the solid black looks really good on it. Not to mention the black berger and the other black accents on the car... I will get a picture of the car with the C6 Z06 wheels up as soon as I can.

Personally I vote for white wheels. No doubt at all that if I had a white F-body I would go that route. I think they set off a white car perfect! Just my asked for opinion.
