I have a shift light I have no yet installed.

I am thinking about removing the "guts" of it and mount it into one of my air vents.

I was just wondering how hott can they actually get before it will be damaged?
In the winter time I still use my heat quite often.

i would say the shift light would be fine in the heat. even the guts would be fine considering all of the good tachs are made to work in cars all over the country. assuming they can sit in a car on a scorching day in say arizona or a hott day at the track in florida, i would say it could hold up to your heat vents. but just my opinion
