View Full Version : ROLL CALL. Who do we have, and in what branch?
CALL911

So I thought it would be interesting to see how many militar members we have on the board, and to what branch's they belong. Feel free to add job and rank if you like, and if you want to go the extra distance, a picture of yourself at work.
Also there is a poll to see the distribution of branch members we have.
I'll start.
USAF. KC-135 tanker pilot. Current rank 2Lt (a month until I get promoted to 1Lt). Previously enlisted, so yes I know what its like to be on the recieving end of the commanding orders as well.

Sorry popo8. Maybe you should see if the admins can make a "Law Enforcement" forum like they did for the Military Members.

FWIW, my hat goes off to any law enforcement personnel like yourself. You may not be on the front lines fighting a war, but you risk your life everyday keeping the streets safe, and being there when anyone CALLS 911!

Awesome dude! I did honor guard for a while once. At first I didn't like it because it took me away from flying, but then I soon learned that what I was doing (giving deceased members their last rights) I quickly was humbled, and it was a powerfull experience.

There were a couple other guys who did NOT like their regular jobs that wanted to extend their tour as well (I don't think it happened for them either). Best of luck on honor guardsman of the year!

Good luck out there. Personally I loved deploying to the fight. Other than missing home it was an amazing sense of service and accomplishment. Stay safe.

USAF Security Forces
Currently a Staff Sergeant (E-5), been in for 7 1/2 years and I am stationed at Francis E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
I served 15 months in Baghdad, Iraq from September 2006 to November 2007. I was a part of the Army's 89th MP Brigade, 92nd MP Batallion with a group of 180 USAF SF Members. Our unit was Detachment 3 (DET3) and we conducted Police Transition Teams (PTT's) in the city training the Iraqi Police, conducting combat patrols, and security escorts. It was a good experience, but I would not want to do it again...so props to you ARMY/Marine joes who do it on a regular basis.

basic is not that bad, it's more of a proving grounds to most. you have to prove to yourself you can and will do it, reguardless of the circumstances. i'd go back to get to peak shape i was in when i left there. you will have to push yourself, and hold yourself to a higher standard to ensure you complete it. good luck and have fun.
