LPP is making the best dollar for dollar header on the market. They are stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 321 stainless steel headers and ORY shipped for $550 or just the headers for 450
yes CC is ceramic coated

off road y-pipe, unless you're doing custom exhaust like true duals, you need it to connect your exhaust to the headers. so for those headers plus the y-pipe that's $442 without shipping, and being painted in a few years you'll have to buy new ones to replace those. Better to spend the extra 108 and the the LPP's, they'll be the last headers you'll have to buy unless you build a SERIOUS motor.

Ive got painted rusty headers on my old ford truck thats been on there for over 20 years. Painted will not look as good but i dont think youll have any problems with them unless you live in an area that gets a lot of salt on the roads, then you should get coated.
Ive also got those painted pacesetter on my firebird and they are rusty on the bottom but actually havent rusted much at all on the top. Theyve been on for over a year now, but i live in GA where it dont rain or snow.
LPP is the best bang for the buck. They also come with a y pipe if im not mistaken.

I got pasesetter LT's on my Formula, and I love them. They're Ceramic coated though. Theyre pretty good headers if you ask me.

Heres what it sounds like... well, with an ORY & SLP LM2 exhaust anyway.

ya im in illinois but i dont know how much ill be driving in the snow. i guess i might as well get ceramic ones. any one know how big the stock pipes are that go to the muffler on a z28? i think i have stock pipes with a magnaflow muffler.

I think 2.5 inches. But both of my car had aftermarket pipes, which i know are 3 inches.
I wouldn't buy a set of the LPP because of what I've seen in there flange design. If they improve there flange and port design i would buy them.

Seriously, don't waste your time with painted headers. Spend the extra $100 for coated. I went down the same road.
Friend of mine bought some Heddmann headers with "high-temp paint!!!!!!!" and it ALL flaked off the same day he installed it after some runs.

then get lpps headers. there are ways to gt them cheaper than $550 too. they are SS(stainless steel) and will not rust, but will turn bronze.

are they noticeable when you look in the engine bay?

Yes, you would be able to notice the headers when you look inside the engine bay.
I like my Pasesetter LT's, and as of now wouldnt consider going to another brand of headers other than pasesetter. They look great in the engine bay, sound nice, and werent all that bad to install.
If you have the money, get the ceramic coated headers. They'll last longer and look better. You wont regret it. You are safe with either Pasesetter or LPP's, but Pasesetter gets my vote.

Lpps are way better than PS headers.
1 they are 321 Stainless Steel will last longer than your car and will NEVER RUST OR FLAKE
2 they are Stepped headers 1.3/4 to 1.7/8
3 thicker flanges for less warping/better seating= less header leaks
4 Same fitment issues as PS is having lately
5 These will support More HP than you will ever have.
6 The closest header to LPP in qaulity would cost 1400 for a set(kooks)
7 These are in limited supply
8 Cars are making killer numbers with these
If you want to hear them check out speedincs vid of his new motor. Casper383 has them and his car is a beast, Check out his dyno vid. Theres also a thread on here about them with some other vids.
