View Full Version : PASSLOCK SYSTEM. NEEDING BYPASSED!

i have a 03 POS chevy avalanche, which is nonthing but a problem any more. For the last 2 yrs i have been dealing with starting and dieing do to the passlock system faild. I need to find a way to bypass this set up. righ now it only starts and drives when it wants to.
PLEASE HELP!

Take it to a tuner. Its not worth dicking around with resistance chips and all the other BS.

Someone with HPTuners should be able to fix you up in 20 min.

Do you guys know if it can be tuned out of the v6 fbodies? My security light has been on forever and I'd like to get it off once and for all.

if it has VATS.. its easy to do.. you just have to get some resistors on the wires on the the steering. Its got a orange wire coating on it.

A passkey / vats problem wouldn't make it stall as you said. One it gets the right resistance it let's the truck start.

As said above you can get a resistor from radioshack and bypass the key/ign. cylinder. Take a dmm and measure the resistance of the pellet on your key. I forget off the top of my head the diff. Ones. There are 15 different keys gm used. Google it I'm sure you will find the info.

I think there's a good write up on the lt1 site shoebox is it??
