Picked it up from a Facebook post. So now apparently, any bike manufactured after 2013 will be required to have a low emissions low decible (under 80) exhaust system factory installed with a corresponding sticker on teh exhaust denoting such thing, and allows for police to freely enforce.
Bearing in mind that I have limited (very) bike knowledge.......
First, how in the blue f*** does the exhaust pipe on those bikes have any bearing on it's emissions output?? AFAIK those don't come with catalytic converters.
Second, they can kiss a bunch of taxation revenue good-bye from all those exhaust systems that would have been sold locally.
Third.....california just needs to break off into the ocean and sink. Really.
Now, the reason I say that this doesn't bode well........I see it as merely a stepping stone to the same thing for the automotive sector. Hopefully the SAN can get it's workings deeply embedded and put a stop to this one before it starts.
