Alright, assuming this works, you guys can now link your Facebook account to your LTX account. If you don't have an LTX account yet, you can create one by using your Facebook account. If you do have an account on each site, simply click the Facebook Connect logo and it will guide you through everything. Once completed you can begin liking threads and publishing content to your Facebook wall.

Please post if you have any issues! :peace2:

It's integrated with vBulletin. It's not an add on that we opt for or anything, it's part of the suite. If we got it we gun use it! :D

It's a vBulletin plugin. I'm sure other boards have similar facebook plugins. And other sites work with facebook to integrate their social media such as being able to "like" stuff on espn.com.

Facebook just tries to get their name out there as much as possible. They want to collect every piece of data on you they can. If they know where you like to shop, they know what types of ads to put on the right side bar of your facebook screen.

Likewise, if you share a link on your facebook wall to a site, say ESPN.com again, your friends will click it and now ESPN has more visitors. The concept is mutually beneficial to both the 3rd parties and facebook.

sounds like a way to try and see what individuals are doing. facebook must be a huge government psychological trick. i cant believe i didn't see it sooner. they gradually made facebook the way it is today. Furthermore, created a movie to back up the story and ad cred. hmmmm

sorry i just watched shutter island

It's just like Eric said, we are more or less using it so that our users will get content on their facebook pages and drive up some traffic.

If it works, that's awesome. If it doesn't, we didn't loose anything in the process, so it doesn't hurt.

I know this isn't that big of a deal, but once you activate the facebook connect. In the top right corner of the forum it covers up most of your username, which makes it kind of difficult to click on your profile.

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday. I'm going to tackle that next. I'm working on getting our plugins all up to date first.
