View Full Version : Just got back from a dyno day
Attended a dyno day and was a bit dissappointed by my numbers. I was expecting around 260 rwhp or 255 at least. I ended up doing 247 rwhp and 295 rwtq. My torque was about what I was expecting, but horsepower was a bit low. I ended up putting down the second highest numbers though. I only got beat by a new twin turbo BMW. It was a total sleeper, quiet as hell and put down 325 which isnt much, but more than I expected. There was a single turbo supra, but it broke down before it dynoed. Im just happy I beat the mustang, it put down 218 horse and 265 torque. This was on a dynojet
I will post up the vid and dyno sheet in a few days when I have time off of work and school.

do you have long tubes or stock manifolds still ?
stock manifolds, the true duals start from the cats back.

You shouldn't be disappointed at all. Your right ;)on par for what you have done.
^^^cool, As soon as I finish the mods on my truck, I will start saving for longtubes and 1.6 rr:secret:

i think they are mid length headers. i didnt get torque numbers b/c sumthin 2 do w/havin 2 wait 4 the motor 2 cool down 2 unhook everything and since i was at a dyno day event i didnt want 2 slow everyone else down.

so how much to run on the dyno?
Since it was a dyno day, it was 30 bucks for 3 pulls.

Not bad at all for your mods!
Thanks, I have longtubes and full dual exhaust at home waiting for install. I'll make a new thread with pics soon.

At what rpm did you hit 265?

i think it was around 5400. the graph that i have for some reason only showed hp @ mph. which that was at 97mph in 4th gear on a 6 spd. manual

why does it make u cringe when u watch it.
Probably cause the cars can go off the dyno if not strapped in right. There was a baja bug, loud as hell, that wasn't strapped tight enough, and gave the dyno operator a big scare
