Well I originally planned on running a 383 on a 250-300 direct port system. I purchased a Scat 4340 standard weight crank with a 3.750 stroke. A set of Scat 4340 6" I beams with 7/16 cap bolts. And a set of SRP flat tops. PN:138093. I now plan on going with a TT setup. I know I need lower comp pistons but am curious if rods and crank will hold up to the new plans. I know they are foreign forgings but according to the manufactures they are good to 700hp. The turbos I have spec out to COMPRESSOR:70 AR;EXDUCER:57.89MM; INDUCER:72.95MM.
TURBINE : 84 AR; EXDUCER:54.47MM; INDUCER:83.16MM
Curious if any of you turbo gurus can give me an number of what to expect power and boost wise. And if I will need to upgrade internals again. Also has anyone heard any pros/cons about scat products?
Thanks.

i would stay away from the srp pistons with a power adder. they are a 4032 high silicon alloy. you want to look for a 2618 low silicon forging.

this is just me but i would upgrade. most the fi threads i read are in the mid 650's at the wheels so thats over your 700 rating.

I'm looking at going with custom Diamond pistons. I'm more worried that the turbos will be too much for the setup. I see people running eagle stuff taking it higher than rated. Ive always been told to stay away from eagle. Don't know how reliably but their getting the power. Friends in my immediate circle say I can't get to 700 with these turbos but I don't believe that. Say its VERY hard to make 700hp. Dunno what believe these days.
Big Cat, you know anyone in FL that would take their time to machine and balance my engine perfectly. I'm looking to do things above averaged. My thoughts about most performance shops are they are run like a business. Get it in, get it out the more we can turn around the more money we can make. I don't want corners cut and I want precise specs. Id like to take the time to do it my self but dont know exactly whats needed. I have .0000 mic's, a rod bolt stretch gauge, torque angle gauge, and ring grinding tools.

i take all my stuff to lance at auto machine and parts of n. obt. most machine shops don't like eagle cranks due to there inconsistency of quality. we run a eagle 4340 cranked 383 with a ysi and the engine was put together back in 02 so i can say they will hold more power than rated. but like any thing else there are always a chance of getting a bad one. also are you planning on putting splayed mains on you block?

Sounds good. Theres a few shops down south here but I don't like the way people run things here. I have a set of Pro-Gram 4 bolt splayed caps and ARP studs. Planning on a crank scrapper and maybe bushing the lifters to help keep the oil off the crank.
