Thought I would post up some news. I am currently building up a 396 for the new car. I am going 396. I really wanted a CP piston in the build. After talking with my builder he called his contacts @ CP and got them to build a CP bullet piston for me. It was discussed at their meeting this morning @ CP. Answer came back quick. Since Mahle has thier version, CP felt they needed to up the game. You can read more about it here.... http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-modifications/1346715-new-piston-option-396-a.html . Just though anyone looking for a option from CP, it will now be a stock shelf item with a PN. Mine will be ready and at the builder in 2-3 weeks. Cant ask much more than that for getting it done quick. Very happy they stepped up to the plate. If anyone is interested in how to get a set, PM me and I will get you in contact with the right people.

Is this a flat top, inverted dome... what's available? The only ones I thought were on the market were SRPs...

these are the bullet line flat top for a 6" rod:brows: with pin options. I know when my set is being made there will be others made for shelf stock. Mine will have the larger pin. They are made from 2618. Very nice piston option for the money. I was gonna go with Mahle as I was very happy with my last set, but when CP was asked to make them as a in stock option and they answered back right away without hesitation, that made my decision that much easier.
