so i ran at the dragstirp this last Saturday and ran my best times I have so far only ran 5 times but i know i could have gotten much better had i been able to get more runs in. I feel like i can hit 13.5's
my car is an 80k mile 96 Firebird Formula mostly stock just with pacesetter long tube headers 3 inch ORY pipe and SLP loudmouth 1 cat-back and an intake. its a 6 speed as well. running on 255 wide street tires.

It's not bad. The MPH is there, and it's got some more in it.

tha'ts what i like to hear! i do feel like that if i go on a colder Friday night let it cool down for about an hour and go for a run i can hit mid 13's at around 103-105 maybe. i felt like the car had more, i started running sonsisten 13.8's and then ran a 13.7 so with some better launching or R/T's and quicker shifting i could pull it off.
i did hit 103mph in one of my runs too but olny ran a 13.8.

What track and what day did you race?

I checked the dragtimes.com DA calculator for your particular track and days' weather conditions. I don't know exactly the time of day you made your pass so I picked 2:53pm. The DA was 926 feet at that moment. When you plug in your 13.761 @ 102.22 it equates to a run like this:
13.637 @ 103.147 MPH
That is what you would have run if the air was better. This is the time of year to watch the forecast closely and hit the track when everything is in your favor.

I think his biggest problem is the 60ft. Get that down and the car could be low 13s

how can i get the 60ft down on street tires? i'm running 24 psi in the rear tires. which which i think is pretty good so far. the 2.068 60' is the best I've ever gotten so far lol.

Since I did mods I can't touch a 2.0 sixty
There are guys that cut under 2.0 but you likely need suspension and a lot of practice

See your limits with the tires.. lower the psi by 1 psi at a time and see how the car reacts. If it gets worse then go back up, if it gets better keep going. Mind you, a minimal burnout is needed for street tires (more like a brushing off) or else they lose their traction abilities.
Also, you may lose some mph as you air down.

Radial tires tend to buckle when aired down. The traction can actually get way worse. Check in the owner's manual to see what PSI you should run on the street. Try running that value and don't do any long burnouts....which can over heat the tire and air inside and possibly lead to over inflation.
A 2.02 isn't horrible for a street tire.
I run mine at 25psi all day long and the best 60' I've done was a 1.91 and it pretty much stuck in first after I got about about 10-15 feet.
If you slapped some 4.10 gears in the car you could probably see upwards of 106 without a problem.
