If I was a guy, I wouldn't let my woman drive my car. Because to be honest, I don't know really any women that can drive a car. Not trying to be sexist or anything. Oh, and them taking it down the track, good luck and forget about it.

Easy, tiger. Honestly, I don't think most people are very good drivers, and I wouldn't let them drive my car unless they're immediate family who I know I can trust. And I'm sick of people saying women "can't" drive. We all know who the worst drivers on the road are. Old men. Grannies tend to be cautious, sure -- but they can't hold a candle to the atrocities that occur when an old guy's at the wheel. And why do men of all ages always stop in the middle of the highway to turn and won't get the eff over to the shoulder??

Just realized zgobyby is a chick , nice.
My Daily has battle scares from female drivers and my transam was hit by a female deer.
But yes , most people can not drive worth a damn. I hate riding with people I notice everything and when I point something out like a big red building or some shit they go huh?

Only two of my friends ever drove my car and I didn't let anyone except me drive it substantially after the cam install.
I will NEVER let a wife/gf/fiance etc etc drive my car. I have a DD they can drive if need be. In my mind, once the car got dangerous at certain throttle positions in certain gears, I will not risk my car because someone wants to drive it.

guess after 15 years of marriage and the fact she has put as much of her money in it as i have mine. shes more than earned the right. its just a car. i have rebuilt it before. it could be rebuilt again.

Amen to that, with the lt1 clutch being a bit harder than avrage cars they might let the pedal mash the gas, get scared, start screaming, break the car and say: OOps i dunno what happen the just went sideways, you better check that i think there is something wrong with your car.

Hell yeah Faust, i'd let my wife drive mine (n/a of course) but then my buddy ony would hate me when my wife waxed his mustang....and she would rag him hard...she may hit the track with us this weekend, i'll take her helmet just in case...and she is much lighter than me so i may be with ya brother on the P/B issue...lol

There are obviously exceptions to these stereotypical rules, but we have to admit that most women really blow at driving. And yeah, I'm a chick, but I acknowledge that most women cannot drive. Most people can drive, I will give them that, but it doesn't take much skill to get behind the wheel and operate a vehicle. But it does take skill to drive a car well. I'm sticking to my opinion.

I don't let anyone drive my car...
If i HAD to I would swap the PCM to my backup "I broke something... please get me home in limp mode" PCM (speed and RPM limited)

My wife has only drove my car twice, since we met over 5 years ago. She can handle horsepower just fine. Plus she's the wife so she's earned the right to drive it.
I tell her "if you hurt my car. I will hurt you" so she's just scared she will wreck it.

When my wife and i were dating she couldnt drive a manual but i taught her in the formula. First time she drove it she never killed and drove it about 10 miles home. She has driven my ws6 down the driveway but thats it. The formula was alot faster but the ws6 is alot nicer and she says she doesnt want to mess it up. My dad let my stepmom drive his black 04 gto m6 and she ran off the side of the road, cut back, as it slid sideways it hit a signpost where the fender meets the door and pushed the fender in and caught the door and peeled it open and back and spun her around into the other ditch. He always babied it and it had 27,000 miles on it. He fixed it though. Now its lowered sitting on 18 inch evos and sap grilles. He was pissed though lol.

I begged my wife to run my car seems I couldn't get it down the track like I wanted on my own. She does understand though, that my 'maro is my baby and it best stay in the middle of the lane. She's got a few kills on the street with me instigating  and when I wasn't even with her:). Heck, she's put up with my @$$ for 6yrs married and like 10 all together so like a few others have said "she's earnd the right" not to mention when I find something I want for my car and have the funds I don't have to worry about asking, she doesn't even raise a thought to it lol

That's all that really needs to be said. There's different age/sexes that can be discriminated as being better/worse drivers, but either way it's a generalization and doesn't apply to all people.
I haven't let a girlfriend drive my car and probably never will unless she's proven herself as being a very capable driver / responsible person and the relationship is fairly serious.
I've only let one person outside my family drive my car other than mechanics. It's not that I don't trust them, it's that I'd rather not let it become a issue if they were to wreck it or whatever may become of the situation. At the same time I don't ask to drive other people's cars.

My ex was afraid of my car, she only drove it once in a parking lot. My Mom drove it a few times and had to put a pillow on the seat to see over the dash lol. Very few people are allowed to drive it let alone ride in it.

its our money going into the car, she drives it all the time on the street. she just asked yesterday if she could drive it on the track....i cant wait for the turbo rebuild, then ill teach her how to put one of those down the track. shes my wife...its a car....and i can fix just about anything. im not gonna have her in it for shake down passes, but once its lined out shes more than welcome to get in it and get a slice of turbocharger heaven(ill control the wastegate thank you). plus it will make getting better parts or replacing broken parts alot easier. ive got to hurry and get this thing done....i have a 4 year old already asking about a junior dragster.
