10.20's this weekend!!! Naturally Aspirated 385 LT1 Fbody Street Driven Car!!!

Had a good weekend up at the track.......brought the car up saturday morning and started running........made two 10.3x passes at over 131mph but I couldn't keep the car straight there was something wrong in the new manual rack and I almost wrecked the car on the high end on the second pass so i just put it on the trailer. Saturday night I pulled the car home and swapped my power rack back in and just looped the lines on it........I came back out sunday morning and made a 10.33 @ 130 first pass off the trailer, car drove perfect. Then I went 10.26 @ 131 followed by a 10.29 @ 131 then two hours later a 10.31 @ 130......the car ran consistant 10.30's all day and never dipped below 130mph. Ran great!!!! Gonna send the manual rack back and see if I can put the price towards a set of strange race brakes. I gotta mess with the suspension more and get it to hook a bit harder.....I put the timing back in the car on launch and now its being a bit unruly it either chatters or spins out of the hole a bit. I loosened up the front shocks a bit to try and transfer some weight and the thing pulled about a 30" wheelstand on me.....apparently somebody has a pic of it Im waiting to get it now lol..... I'll get it straightened out next week and hopefully we'll see some 10.10's before the year is out.

If you go out and rip a 10.05 or similar, make sure you rush back to the pits and ditch:

1. wipers and motor
2. door panels
3. passenger seat
4. the heavy plastic panel right under the column (4lbs or so)
5. console lid
6. passenger seat belt (bring a big torx with you!)
7. leave 1/8th a tank of gas in the car, no more. Bring a 5-gallon jug full of 93, and add a little as needed.

All of that stuff (aside from the gas) can be removed by 2 guys in about 15-20 minutes and will shave an honest 65lbs off of the car.

The power windows don't weigh any more than roll up windows, the motors are tiny and the entire manual roll-up mechanism is just as heavy, and the locks are very light.

I want to see you rip a 9.99

DO IT!
