just installed my newly aquired $20 shipped oil catch can off ebay. it does have some blemishes, but this is a go fast car not a show car, lol!

on my 95 the pcv runs to the front of the intake just below the t/b and directly behind the t-stat housing. there is a metal tube that runs between the pcv and the barbed fitting in the intake. i seperated the tube from the 90* rubber hose at the intake, then flipped the 90 to face the can. ran one hose to the metal tube leading to the pcv and the other hose connects to the 90. very easy and clean install.

It will catch the oil vapor in the pcv system. The vapor flows into the can and baffles strip the oil off allowing the remaining gasses to be burnt. This helps control excessive oil burning that can foul plugs and sensors.
A good idea for a car that sees a lot of WOT...

Just a guess but they probably either stuffed with something like course steel wool or use a filter system similar to a Water Separator on a compressor. not that there is anything wrong with that. It just may not last forever.

well i ordered one just for the hell of it. just got it in and there is nothing in the can its empty. ill prob hook it up anyway just to see if it works.

ya i opend mine and its empty too damn it, gonna install a tube in the pcv side port and put a stone filter on it like in the lowes ones...
