I have a 94z and I'm finally about to lower this bad boy! Since I'm a baller on a budget I was wondering, do I absolutely have to get adjustable shocks? Or will the springs work with the stock ones? (At least for a while until I can get money for the shocks). Thanks

What springs and shocks were you looking at? Also, it would be a lot easier if you replace both at once.

well, i dont know how good these springs are, but suspension techniques makes a set for cheap. but ususally cheap goes with quality so yea.
i'm on a budget but i'm going with an eibach prokit. and adjustables.
if i wasnt going adjustables, i'd just get a set of kyb mono tubes.
i got a buddy who lowered his 3rd gen with a stock set of shocks, says he likes the ride. but imo, if you're already in there, you might as well change them. even if they're just stock replacements.

Quality really makes the difference in the long run for shocks. Most of the cheaper ones if they are the same type of shocks as the expensive ones will perform similar. You just will have to replace them more often, and they won't perform "as well" as some of the more top notch ones like QA1.
Lowering your car really makes a huge difference. IMO, it really is one of those things that makes it 100% more attractive. Especially with a nice 17-18 inch set of wheels. It will also make your car much better at taking corners (especially at high speeds).
The downside. Ride quality is out. You will feel every crack, pot hole, and imperfection in the road. You can also forget about traction for drag racing. The lower and tighter the suspension, the less trasfer of weight available, meaning it will handle great, but spin the tires everywhere (not so good when you are trying to race someone).
If you are looking for the best deal on springs and shocks, I would reccomend looking in the for sale section here, and some of the other boards for a great set of used ones. Most springs will last almost forever, and a lot of guys are just trying to get rid of shocks that may be in great shape for little to nothing.

Thanks for the info guys and gals! But I should do the adjustable panhard bar at the same time I lower it right? (Just making sure)

ADj panhard is good especially if you have wide rear tires. Also Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets are a good idea to keep your pinion angle correct.

Like jaysz2893 stated, it is a good idea to get an adjustable panhard bar if you have wide tires (as the adjustments can help your tires from rubbing on the wheel well). Panhard bars can make you more stable when you take corners or kick out the rear intentionally. Past that, it is not required to get a panhard bar when you lower your car.
