Okay, I've aquired a small amount of money that I was initially going to spend on some N2O but have decided that even if I had it I couldn't keep it on the ground so my money is going else where. My question is, should I go with gears (either 3.73 or 4.10) or with LCA and Panhard bar? I don't have a lot of money to spend at the time but my rear end is whining (i want a little lower gear too) and I can seem to hold traction? Where would yall spend it? :secret:

What gears do you have in it now?

I was happy with my gears (still am) but now its time to focus on getting the car to hook(to an extent, damn 10 bolt). I say do suspension first....

Forgot to redo the signature... 94 Z28 M6 with 3.47 gears. 255/50 16 tires I believe. Sorry about that...

If the rearend is already whining i would try to find another for cheap to replace it or get it rebuilt, of course with lower gears. After that worry about traction and more power.

Your car should have 3.42's which I imagine that your post was a mistype, no biggy.

Anyway, I would rebuild your rear with 4.10's and a complete rebuild kit with the solid pinion spacers instead of the crush sleeves. Shop around locally for a repuitable shop to do the rebuild for you or if you can or a friend can rebuild it to save some money.

After the rear rebuild I would save for LCA's with relocation brackets, subframe connectors, torque arm, and panhard bar. You'll be soooo surprised by the difference all those pieces will make in overall driving characteristics of your car.

If your rear is whining I'd wait and replace the pinnion bearing/rebuild the 10bolt.

i think you're really going to like the "kick" difference from 3.42 to 4.10

they're badass..
you shift way more often tho.. and in first its really hard to catch traction, sometimes 2nd..

if you deflate the rears to 18-20 its good enough tho..

Suspension should be your first mods!

No matter how much power you make, it doesn't mean anything if your spinning.

As for people that are telling you to put money into your 10 bolt....that would depend on what your gonna do with the car, if your gonna keep it, ect. IMO best thing to do here is NOT sink money into the worst part of your car (the 10 bolt), go ahead save your penny's and grab a 9,S60 or even a 12 bolt.
