Just wondering what some of you would trade any or all of your current vehicles for??
Me Personally, after having an itch for quite a while now, I think I can safely say that if conditions were right and personal attachments to my current vehicles weren't what they are, I'd sell my Vette, part out the Trans Am, and get........
a 2003-2005 Mercedes SL500. It's one car I'm truly in love with, especially after sitting in one and just realizing how truly nice they are. Just about perfection on wheels IMO. Am I nuts for thinking this?

Yes you are nuts...
You know you're going to want a car you can mod.. yea the sl500 has gobs of power stock but you lose the manual shift fun factor and think about repair costs
Not to mention an exhaust alone would probably be $2000+
Just not worth it imho
Now if you were to trade it for a c6z or maybe a viper or something (i know youre a big guy but if you fit in a c5 then you'll fit in either of those)
Not to mention the Mercedes is a boat so it needs all that power just to move the thing (not saying they're slow but still)
I just think the fun factor goes out the window... the tuning is harder to come by, the parts are harder to come by and theyre far more expensive

I'd like to build a 2dr blazer to the same specs as my pickup.... and continue with the same future plans. How that would happen eh... just need the space... the shell would only be a couple thousand at MOST:D

I have a buddy that has a built 350 in his blazer.. (i think he still has it, but he has a cammed ls1 so he doesnt drive it much)
and I have another buddy with a bad ass 383 in his S10.. used to have a different 350 and nitrous but it never hooked up lol

If I were to sell my car I'd do one of the following most likely.
A) Trailblazer SS (still too much, I'd need a 10k loan on top of my trade in, and I don't want a loan in school.... MAYBE $5k for the right car)
B) 03-05 Silverado SS (Would need a $5k loan)
C) Buy my dads '99 Silverado Z71 (could get a killer deal on it) and pick up a 600cc bike or maybe a beat up older LT1 (~$3-5k)

Actually I'm at the point where I've thrown away so much money modding cars that I want something I can simply hop in and drive and be happy with. With the SL500, I wouldn't care how fast it is, because I'd be in a quick, COMFORTABLE, and quiet car that's got show and go and just oozes with style.
I knew this answer was going to come up. Let me just say that none of those things really matters to me because my tastes are changing.
This isn't going to happen for a LONG time anyway unless something big in my life takes a drastic turn that pushes me into it (which I don't see happening).

I understand your mindset but for a second there I thought you were showing your age :jest:
j/k j/k
I just think if your tastes did change and you ended up doing it... you would regret at least not keeping one of your two babies.. especially after I think about how down you were when you sold the black car.

I'd trade the F150 in for a Mid/early 90's Short Bed Z71 5 spd if at all possible
SS Id trade it in for a C5 Vette Or a CTS-V
Trade the Civic for a newer one.. maybe an Si.. I kinda like the way they drive and I'm not complaining about the 50mpg's.. I would trade the Camaro for a newer/faster car... maybe LS1 powered car..

I dont think I would trade anything I have, but if I did it would be for a C5 Vette with either a 427 LS1 in it OR something like Fastbird has (Supercharged/TT).

I'd only trade up for a faster car.
Maybe a LS1 (:face_shocked:) F-Body or vette. Other than that... I think I'm just gonna stick with my Formula for now.

I would trade my LT1 in on a 2010 SS camaro M6. I might just be doing that too, in a year from now.

Dont think id trade on anything, period.
Id rather own a bunch of baller stuff then own 1 baller thing that i had to give up 4 baller'er things for.
The ratio is terrible, catch my drifts?
1970 Vette With the LS 7.Shame it never made it into the vette back then. would be happy for a LS 6 70 vette. Dreaming . For you http://www.stingrai.com/facts/1970.htm. And what i got to trade for wouldnt even get the motor nowdays lol
