took the car to San Antonio for a True Street race & the unthinkable happens. somehow during the 30 mile cruise, the fuse box layed over onto my downpipe & caught the heat wrap i had wrapped around it on fire. no major damage, but the box is melted & a few fuses are shorted out. question is, when did gm make changes to these underhood fuse boxes? i've got a 95 formula that i stripped down to make a drag car out of, & pulled the harness out of it only to find out that between 95 and 96 gm started using different pins in these cars. also, does anybody know somewhere to find a good used fuse box from a 96 TA with the wires still connected so i can move the box to a "cooler" location? any help would be appreciated. trying to get the car ready for the Buick vs. Ford race in Oct.

Ouch. You should probably hit the local pick and pull places, or see if there's stil an F-Body salvage yard still operating like Billy Graham's was back in the day. Worst case scenario, get a service manual and start running your own wiring to a custom fuse/relay box in the location of your choice.
