Whats up Opti owners:whistle:

My name is Phil. I live in Port Charlotte, FL, and have lived here most of my life. I am an automotive and RV Technition.
I was referred to the site by my Wife, 1hottcamaro.
Although I don't have my own Camaro, I have been involved with the swap and build up of Stephs DSG Camaro. I am on a couple other GM based sites: CZ28 and ls1tech. I also frequent mafia-motorsports.com and need2speed.com. I have a DSG 03 Cobra and a fairly quick daily driven 96 Cobra.
I dont care if a car has a bow tie or an oval on the front. I just love fast cars. I am really looking forward to finishing the 383 build for the Camaro.
Most people look down on the LT1 as a slow POS. That just adds fuel to the fire.
I am sure that Steph has posted about the build, but just in case she hasn't, we are building a 383 with a Callies Compstar forged rotating assembly and Advanced Induction 200CC Dominator heads and cam package. Hopefully we can hit a low 11 at full weight and possibly hit a high ten with a little weight reduction. Steph is not too fond of nitrous, but a nice 150 shot should get it pretty close to a 9 as long as I can get the car to 60, we'll see.

Here is a little info about the Cobra's. The 03 has an aluminum block swap and a Pro Charger F1c, a built 4r70W, and a short runner 01 Cobra intake. I dont have any dyno numbers yet, but it will hopefully hit a mid 9 when it hits the track.

The 96 has a STOCK 03 longblock with a Kenne Bell 2.8H, a T56, and a mild set of 3.55 gears. It is one hell of a sleeper. Here is a vid of it at two local events: (the firt two passes were on the stock eaton blower, the last three were on the KB):

W want to an an LS powerd car to the stable in the future too. Steph has her heart set on an 01-02 WS6 T/A with Ebony interior and I dont blame her. I'll be happy with a full bolt on, nasty cam and a little spray T/A.

Some time in the distant future I want to swap an LSX int a FOX coupe, Preferably a stroked l92/ls3 with TEA ported heads, Carbed, direct port N20, glide, 9". In a gutted fox, it should go well into the 8s.

Here are a couple pics of our cars:

This is our family ride: We have a beautiful one year old Daughter. Mustangs and Camaro's are not very baby friendly. So we picked up a 99 Cadilac SLS.
I recently had it painted black. I have a pic of it before that paint and right after (I was still putting the car back together). Some dark tint and newer CTS multi spoke chrome 18"s should set it off.

Now thats cool, Camaro loving and the Mustang loving all in the same house!

Do you guys go back and fourth at all about whos brand is better? I mean, they do have to share the same garage and all :D

Nice collection man, and dont worry about the long intro... You are one of the first people I HAVENT had to yell at to post pics with my first post in their intro thread :)

Thanks everyone!

Do you guys go back and fourth at all about whos brand is better?

When we first got together she talked all kinds of shit about Mustangs, but I discoverd that she was in denial, and that deep down inside she had a passion for a nice Cobra:D All jokes aside, she is loves her F bodie, but is quick to defend a Stang if somone posts up some B.S missinformation.

That is the one thing that I hate about some sites weather it is a GM or a Ford based site. Whichever brand the site caters to, there is always going to be the one that HATES anything but what they own, thiers is the fastest, and all else is junk. Those are the ones that post crap like " I smoked an 02 Camaro SS in my bolt on 1996 mustang GT" (when it was really a six cyl Camaro that he only beat by a half of a car). Or " I beat 03-04 Cobra's all the time in my stock ls1 car (:shame:Just because it says Cobra on the rear bumper, it, does not make it on 03-04)

I have not seen any of that here.......yet:jest:

Hopefully we wont, or Im sure there will be some flaming of the people with misinformation :D

Nice cars though, always love a tastefully done Cobra.
