View Full Version : Turn / B-U fuse keeps blowing

ok, so all of a sudden i keep blowing the 20 amp turn / Back Up light fuse. I have disconnected the Reverse switch from the trans. I have taken out the flasher relay. I have removed all the bulbs. I have disconnected the connector from the signal lever to the electrical system (the long thin plug near the column). I put a new fuse in and turn the key and the fuse pops. THis is will all i said above done. I am stumped..:doh::cry:

Try to unplug the ign switch and try it.

like pull the ign fuse?
I am good at installing stereo systems, but chassis wiring scares me and confuses me alot.. LOL

Nah, its mounted on the steering column. Probably the best bet is it find a schematic and see what all feeds off the fuse and start un plugging componets,

having same issue except mine works for a few mins then blows.

Well I found the brown wire at the small side marker lights is going to ground. So is the black wire there too. Can't have 2 grounds at the same light. Now I have to find what is wrong.
