I wouldn't mess with them and return them, then order conventional SBC ARP head bolts. There are other angle tools you can buy/rent though (not sure of any offhand).

Arp bolts also do the torque to yield method. But also can be done just torquing them. Thought I would mention that as the arp head bolts in the ta listed specs for either.

Botls for what? As stock, there isn't a one TTY bolt on an LT1. Head bolts included. Big myth. People assume when GM changed to the torque/angle spec on the head bolts that the bolts changed to TTY bolts. Not true. They still used the same bolts that were on the engine with the straight torque method. It was only the method of tightening that was changed. Buy some ARPs. I have the 134-3601s on my engine.

What are the GM part numbers?

BTW, a Lisle torque/angle meter is ~$25.

I don't know if that is some industry standard designation with the TY (for TTY) on the bolt or not. I have not seen that on other stock bolts that I know are TTY. It could be some other manufacturer marking. The thing is that only the medium length bolts part number is different than previous years when the TTY method was not spec'd. So all the other bolts should not be TTY bolts (one would think). It would not make any sense to mix the two.
