i have a 96 firebird formula m6 stock gears and all, and i have an cold air intake slp loudmouth 1 cat back with pacesetter long tubes and off road y pipe and was wondering what are the horsepower/ torque gains you would get from the headers? both flywheel and rear wheel wise, tuned AND untuned? the only codes im throwing are the rear o2 sensor codes since i no longer have them. i will eventually be getting them tuned out but for now im untuned and thats why i would like to know.

It depends on a lot of things. This is because headers are a complimentary replacement part to a common choke point...meaning when you add headers some other mods such as intake and exhaust those mods will also contribute more when the choke point is eliminated, and this will contribute to the total gain. Also not all long tube headers are created equal.... I'm going to take a wild guess at your setup and say +15 RWHP no tune, and +25 RWHP with a tune over the baseline with stock manifolds, intake and exhaust....
For comparison purposes:
My car stock did 259/289.
With CAI, LT's w/ 3" ORY through a dumped bullet muffler and a tune I picked up 45hp and 47tq.
Headers FTW.

Hard to be accurate since it depends on the starting point. A very restrictive exhaust system would benefit the most while one that is relatively free-flowing the least.
Take for example the L-88 BB. When delivered it had headers in the trunk intended to be dealer installed at the buyer's option. Those added right around 60 HP to the engine's power output, which says just how much the engine needed the improved exhaust flow.
Remember, too, that the power increase is at WOT, mainly in the upper mid-range/top end RPMs which is where any exhaust restriction would show up most. I recently saw a header ad in a new JEGS catalog; claimed 6-9 HP.

While "just LT headers" aren't going to give you that much of a gain, they are going to be needed if you are going for further mods. It's just one of those things you'll need if you wanna make more power and should be done before if you want the most of the other mods (thinking head/cam swap here). JakeJR has it about right. Also, every engine is going to be different depending one a lot of factors. Some will benefit more from them than others, so take any numbers given in your thread as a "nice to know" type number and not something hard and fast you are going to see.
