im trying to replace the header gaskets, but it seem impossible to remove the bolts, ive got all the ones off the drivers side except for the last one,and on the passenger side i only got a few off, any suggestions ?
Are you having trouble getting a tool on the bolt or physically taking it off?

getting the bolts off, i was using a wrench as thats the slimmest thing as a socket wouldnt fit over it

I didn't have any problems doing mine that lots of swearing didn't fix. Try some lube on the bolts. The header may be hanging from that last bolt too so try and support it with your other hand while taking it out. You are going to have a hell of time getting it back on with the rest of the exhaust attached too. I had to push the header up from underneath the car to get the holes to line up while a buddy threaded it in for me.

All I needed was my 3/8 inch wrench and patience. It took quite a while but it wasn't that bad. For the back ones I just laid on top of the motor and stuck my arm down there. If you haven't already take off the alternator to get to the front passenger bolt.

Just be patient and cuss alot, they should come off pretty easily...
but then you gotta put them back on.

Yes, that and using a small box-end to get over the bolt and a larger one to
add leverage and get it started. When I did my first set, I was stretched out
over the motor, holding a box-end on the last bolt with the tips of my fingers while my friend
was underneath trying to grab it with another box-end and broke it lose for me.
It's so much easier now that I have a tubular Kmember :hail:

cool i never thought of that, i got them all off except for the front one under the alternator(i did take the alternator off), and the rear one on the driver side

sometimes you have to step back and make a tool. I cut a wrench in half for more room.. much less leverage though

If you aren't using them, get the stubby wrenches. Those make it a LOT easier trying to get those bolts out.

Theres a bolt hiding behind/underneath the alternator for that bracket, hard to see but if you feel around you will find it. I dont suggest putting it back on, mine got tossed into the spare parts bin :D

Wow, what bolts are on there? I used ARP bolts and I got them all off in about 20 minutes. The smaller head really helps.
