Easy peasy... I went by the shop yesterday and this Drive Shaft has a set of nearly new U-Joints (put 'em on there about 3000 miles ago), so considering the slip yoke and the bearings, this unit is truly ready to be slipped into your tranny and bolted down to the diff'.

Taking your sweet @$$ time, the entire operation shouldn't take an hour from jack up to wheels down; half that, if you've access to a lift.

If you're presently using a steel stocker, there's no reason that you shouldn't be grabbing this beauty... Less rotating mass = more power turning the wheels and this unit is fully complete and ready to bolt directly in place.

was it balanced with the new joints?

Nope...

But I've been driving for 35 years and never had a drive-shaft balanced for U-joints, nor can I see why ya would. :hmm: My car, on this drive-shaft ran low 7s in the 1/8th mile, and there was neither drivetrain rattle at the track on a pass, nor cruising down the boulevard.

The only reason that I'm selling this unit, is that I bolted up a Strange S60-Dana rear-end... which requires a shorter shaft; so instead of cutting this unit down, I bought a new one for $500... on which I put a good set of u-joints without concern for balancing.

Come on guys... If you don't have an aluminum DS, you need one. This is an instant improvement in acceleration for $125 to your door. Bolts up in no time from jack stands...
