Not sure if this is in the right room but i had a question. A buddy of mine has a 93 z and wanted to know if they make a SS air intake that would work with the SS hood and become functional?

Probably not appropriate forum to post this, as this is "Forced Induction" meaning superchaging and turbocharging.
The links are accurate, and that answered your question most likely.
One more bit of info FWIW, most tend to stay away from the functional SS ram air intakes as because the location of them is directly over the engines intake, the air temps going into your engine are already "pre-heated" by your intake. (not a good thing).
Its been proven that the cheeper cold air intake which takes air from your front drivers side wheel well (just in front of it to be exact) yeilds more power gain over the SS intake. The Ram Air on the Firebirds is the best of both worlds because it gets the most direct air flow and goes straight into the MAF and into the TB without getting heated over the intake. This could be had by Camaro owners as well with using the "ultra Z" hood, and the Firebird Ram Air kit.
