2008 Mustang GT vs 2010 Camaro

Will the v6 Camaro be able to pick on the 2005+ body style of Mustang?

Both rated at 300hp, the Mustangs going to have more torque though.

Here are some more stats on the Mustang.


Vehicle Curb Weight: 3,540 lbs.
0 to 60 mph: 5.1 seconds
1/4 Mile Time: 13.8 seconds

What do you guys think? Will the V6 be able to beat the Mustang, or our LT1s for that matter? Should be interesting. I don't think they will stock. I'm guessing mid to low 14's stock, but with a few bolt-ons it should be pretty close, I guess it will come down to the V6's curb weight and if it can get the power to ground. I don't think it'll be lighter than the Mustang though. I'm guessing 3,700-3,850 for the V6.

You just answered it. Nope, it won't hang with a V-8 Mustang GT. It will be close, but it will need some goodies to get there. I would guess it will do the 1/8th around a 9.3-9.4 and the 1/4 in about 14.5-14.6, just a tick off of a stock LT1 car.
