Nice Tawny!!! You guys really have that car moving for what little is done to it. With how quick you're moving now, I'm curious to see how far you could take it with a full host of bolt on's.

Nice. What's the race weight?
I'm skipping the low 13's and going straight for 12's next summer.

this is the way I see it...
last year I was running low 15s and high 14s and by the end of the year I managed to get her in the high 13s..
at the beginning of this year I was running high, mid, and low 13s and now I'm running high 12s...
so hopefully the same trend will follow for next year and the many years to come

basically just alot of weight reduction... anything we could possibly have gotten rid of or bypass, we did it (besides ABS and the steering wheel and air bag)... we have a K&N CAI, 160 deg. thermostat, skinnies up front, radials in the back, meziere's elec. water pump, tune, UMI's Adjustable LCAs, TA, and SFCs... I think thats about it :secret:

last time we had it checked (april) it was 3240, but we've taken about 100 more pounds of weight off of it since then so I'd say its more like 3140...
and if you've got the money to go straight to the 12s I'd say do it... its an awesome feeling for sure :D

No stall? 1.8 60s are pretty damn good for a stock converter. Thing runs like a beast for the mods you posted.

If you guys keep up the current progress with full bolt on's and a stall you could feasibly be chasing the LT1 bolt on record. I know that's a long way off (1.1 seconds IIRC) but I can't recall a completely stock exhaust LT1 car going 12's that I know of.

the only thing we have done exhaust wise is this gutted the cat and replaced the muffler with this contraption

besides what I have listed nothing else has been modified... I can honestly swear on my life... if I've got the money and make it to the LTX shootout ya'll can take a looksie for yourself :)

thanks!
plans as of right now is:
ABS Delete
probably gonna try and replace the steering wheel over winter but I don't know yet
probably gonna go with one of B&M's shifters but I'm gonna do some reasearch on 'em first
and hopefully sometime in the middle of next year we will have a moser 12 bolt and 4:10s in it and maybe even a k-member... those are two things that we have been putting off on getting but once we scrounge up the money, we'll make it happen :D

Awesome!
Do you drive it a lot on the street too? Or is it just mainly your track car?

Nice to see another edgewater racer.
You bracket race it?

Not to nitpick you or anything but I can't believe you didn't change your dial in for your second run. Your first run you were obviously on the brakes going through the lights (95mph) and you still ran right on your number, yet you left it on for the next run and got lucky with a double breakout.
Congrats on the 12's though! That had to feel good.

Um......not 10mph worth of a difference. Actually, I just re-read her timeslips and she did change her dial in. My bad.
