Hey guys, I'm gonna be buying a set of the summit drag thrust wheels. I'm going to run 15x8 in the rear with 5.5 backspacing and a 15x4 front wheel with 1.75 backspacing. I plan to run the Mickey Thompson et street radials on the rear size 275 60 15. Now my question is what size tire do I run on the front. I want to keep the tires the same brand or at least similar style at all four corners. This will be my first time buying skinnies and really drag radials in general so I'm looking for some input on tire size to give it a killer stance along with enough driveability to cruise the towns.

i dont know what gearing you are running, but take it from me. that tall of tire will hurt you unless you are putting alot of power out. i run 28s and i've been told its way to big for my setup. and i have 4.10s. just some food for thought... stance is killer though! oh and i run a 165/80/15 in the front.

I'm running 4.10s to. I have an le2 stage 2 head package and his smallest non emissions cam I believe a 226/230. So it's not slow but it's nothing insane. Like I said I've never purchased drag radials before and i'm not dead set on how fast I can get the car down the strip. What size tires should I run out back then? Also what brand are you using out front man?

umm i think achotrod had a similar setup but a bit bigger cam and similar gears and he ran 26 inch tall Et's. a 275/50/15 i think. i guess you should try and play with a gear calculator and go from there. you can get the tires you need for the front from summit. although i think from them its just a 4in x 26 in tire. spring for the 8 ply so you have no worries on the street with bumps and all.

M/T sportsman 26x7.5 8 ply front is what i am running. 8 ply is recommended for cars over 3000lbs. M/T also have a S/R series tire that has a flamed pattern. the s/r tires are about $45 more.

I'm also running the Mickey Thompson fronts but mine is the 28 inch tall I believe and it's 4.5 inch wide
