they work great took me about 6 hours to do i had to change out the spindles and put stainless steel brake lines also. the original brakes and lines had 210,000 miles on them. but it will put nose to the ground when you pop the brakes.

well i luck up on the deal a guy on ls1tech had the kit for sale for about $250.00 he sent calibers, brackets and the sy\tainless steel lines. i got new calibers and slotted rotors (autobuyantihng.com) for less $100.00 apiece. i`m allways on the net looking for deals like that. but i noticed the brake brackets are easyily made if you have access to the right tools. i`m pulling this car apart later this summer and i have access to a machine shop here that a friend owns i`m going to see how much he can make a set for. when i do this i`ll post on it with a price.:monkey:

Yes, I'm often trolling the forums looking for deals as well. I've found a lot of good deals this way. Making the brackets seems like a good idea and realistically not that difficult (though I'm not a machinist ). $500 seems like a pretty good deal though!

Tons of places sell the brackets for around 100-150 or so. Paul, there is someone selling a Bear BBC on ls1tech right now
