So I finally got my new motor in the car and Dyno Tuned. The car was set up to be a cruiser/fun car with a fat torque curve. I dont race it, its just a street car.

Anyway, I am extremely happy with this set up and wanted to share the results in case anyone is looking for something similar.

Heads: AI 200cc stock castings / PAC 1220 springs / Manley Stainless Valves
Cam: 216/225 .575/.575 112LSA
Ultra Pro Mag NSA Rockers / LS7 Lifters / Hardened Push Rods
Shortblock is a new GM 4 bolt main with stock pistons etc. Just added ARP Rod Bolts
Trans: FLT Level 3 with Yank SS3200

Rest of my mods are in the sig.

Car put down 349 rwhp and 331 rwtq on a Mustang dyno with the converter unlocked. We let off at 5900 rpm since the motor is brand new. The tuner spent 6 hours on the car doing all the part throttle, idle and WOT runs. AF ratio was set conservative. Didnt want to lean it out given the intended purpose of this car.

While it doesnt put down crazy dyno numbers, I cant tell you how much fun it is on the street. Idles very close to stock and power is instant. From a 30MPH roll this thing pulls like crazy.

AI are great people to work with, they put together exactly what I wanted. This car is reliable and could be driven every day.

The tuner did a simulated 1/4 mile on the dyno and it ran a 12.20. With traction in the real world I would expect 12.30-40s.

What do you guys think?

My setup used to be pretty close to yours. My old setup was 355,10.3:1 comp, ported stock heads,cc306,1.6 roller rockers(.540/.576 lift),unported edelbrock intake,58mm tb,30lb injectors,255 fp,mail order tune,3.73's,4200 stall, pacesetter lt's,3" x-pipe and outlaw race mufflers. I ran 12.16@110 with a 1.65 60' like that. Then I switch up a few things like untouched afr 180cc street heads which bumped my comp to 11.3:1,1.7i/1.6e rockers bring lift to .578/.576 lift and I had mild port work done to the edelbrock intake and ran 11.94@112.26 with a 1.603 60'. I'm swaping to a monoblade tb,3800 stall, more extensive port work to my edelbrock intake along with having it milled .055 on both sides of the intake face to get better port alignment and finally getting dyno tuned. I hope to be around 380-390rwhp. Take your to the track man I think it'll run low 12's pretty easily.
