quick question!

Just need to know what the blue thing in these pictures could possibly be for. I unplugged it and nothing changed so not sure what its doing there. And i dont really know anything about stereos this is how i got the car lol heres the pics :hmm:

that is a .50 farad capastor what it does is hold power for the amp and releases it when the amp is peaking to stop power drainage from the car.
