Took a few quick shots before I went out for quick drive. The car is really starting to feel damn good. I'm pulling the plugs (NGK TR55 coppers) and putting new ones in, going to put two new Bosch O2's in the car also on Sunday. Does anyone know if the O2's in the longtube are considered pre or post O2's ? I thought they were pre O2's (just not sure). I will be slowly modding this car more and more, now that I can work on it any time I want now :sleep1: I have boxes and boxes of stuff to install :hammer:

I was sneaking around Plano tonight and had a few possibles, but only one race (not really a race). Running along DNT (Dallas North Tollway) up by Frisco Mall. I come up to the light and a LS1 Z28 pulls up beside me and it sounds like it has a small cam ( and I'm sure the complimenting mods ). He looks over and gives me the nod, I respond with a bring up the R's in 1st to 3,700 rpm's ( Drag radial are nice and warm ). He responds with a similar RPM level and the light goes green and POW the LTx responds with a gut punch and I have a 1/2 of a fender on him through 1st (shift @ 6200) get a nice scratch on the serrated concrete. I actually pulled him another 1/2 fender to the top of 2nd (6000 rpm) and right when I jammed 3rd I heard the infamous crunch of his T56 (missed shift). It sounded so bad I even cringed in my car ! We tried one more time from a 1st gear roll and he mangled his 1 / 2 shift again, at that point I think he was disgusted with himself and I'm pretty sure he hurt something in the tranny (car did not sound good after that). I told him he probably would have murdered me up if we had got into the top of 3rd or 4th and let his cam work for him. He took it nice enough and just said " you have a real nice LT1 car " and we went are separate ways.

I had two other possibles, but neither would bite.
1. 350Z with big red brakes and phat azz rims (he just plain hated)
2. C6 Z06 (Blue & Bad): I did not really try to get this guy to run but
I was prepared to take my raping if he would have gone for it. I really
wanted to see how bad I would get mangled up by one of these
monsters. It was completely stock as far as I could tell, but he
was just cruising so I respected the Z0h and left well enough alone
for the evening.

Side shot ( a little dark, but I like it)

Here are some azz pics before the evening started:

This was the money shot for the night, it looks frickin ridiculous from this angle. I suspect this is the shot that got me into all the trouble tonight.

Thanks for the comps guys, tire is a 315/30/18 BFG drag radial on a 3 piece Dazz Motorsport - Matiz rim (18x11 bead to bead) or 18 x 10.5" inner to inner (depending how you want to measure the rim). It took a long time to figure out how to make this much tire and rim fit the car right, but I finally mananged to get the stance and fitting right ( I think ).

AC Hotrod,
If your running the Nitto 315 drag radial it will be a little narrower than a BFG or Mickey 315. I've run the Nitto's before and it literally looked like a inch less width on the car compared to the BFG.

Yes, I know the hand of GOD LS1 can never be beat, that's why I told the guy if he had made it to third it probably would have swallowed the poor little LTx car  Although, he was impressed with what I served up from a dig through the top of 2nd.

Did you have to use a BFH on the wheelwells? Mine seem to fit pretty good without any BFHing

Never had to use a BFH, the car sits on coil-overs at all 4 corners, so I just adjusted the ride height until I got the look and the height that I wanted for the car. I will definitely say it is a little close a one point, but I have never rubbed once in the years of having this setup on the car. :secret:
