so i got to see a horrid sight today. my neighbors son (just turned 18) "borrowed" his dads all original '67 Camaro. he was doing a burnout on my street and suddenly i heard BOOM and lots of smoke coming from the engine bay. he put a rod through the side of the block... it was a numbers matching 327/Muncie 4 speed/ 3.73 posi car, and my neighbor is the original owner... now it won't ever be numbers matching again. not with a 11" hole in the drivers side of the block. hated to see him blow it up, especially considering it only had 48k original miles on it...:cry:

dad did NOT know he took the car. it blew because the stock rods can only take about 6k rpm. he was trying to run WELL above that.
