im gettting the car painted soon and i really like some of the black cars on this site, but at the same time im drawn in by orange. so if u have either post pics!!!

keep it purple pearl metallic. it's more unique. Do something cool with black accents like smoked turn signals and black ZR1s or something then maybe a hood and atleast a spoiler (LT1/LS1 SS or RS 3 piece) and a nice stance.

I do agree that PPM is a rare, and sweet color. I would also side with those that say leave it as it looks good and is rare. However, there was also a time when I wanted to custom paint my car. I was going to go with a deep silver/grey with a touch of dark blue. Then I saw how much it costs to have a professional paint job done and decided I'd rather have the $10,000 ;)

Black is way too overplayed, and I've never been a fan of oranges.

I'm somewhat partial to orange. This the closest Dupont could get to Allis-Chalmers orange. I like it well enough. I just wanted to do something a little different.

Don't do orange if you don't want to be noticed. Being noticed has its pros and cons.

Not exactly a "new" paint scheme to us LT1 guys, but it's got orange, and no one has posted a 30th type paint job.

This is my buddies.. and yes, he's been given crap about imitating the LT1 anniversay cars.

Paint it black to match the black you're going with!

IMO, I like to keep colors stock or maybe small changes (ghoast flame, pearl etc..) I have a black car and it looks pretty good for being 12 years old and when I "freshin" up the car I will be going with a black cherry color which will only have a little maroon to it in direct sunlight.

i think that if you get black you should get chrome wheels. i know after you get it painted it will be perfect for a while but when a black car has black wheels every little imperfection pops out. chrome wheels draw attention away from scratches and what not. Idk, i guess chrome wheels just make a black car look cleaner. the orange would look really good with the black wheels though.

yea i was gunna go with black spokes and polished lip with wahtever i choose. i liek the berger panel being set away from the car. thats why orangeseems like sucha good choice.

i just think that black would be a safer plan. i think i would like the orange at first but would want to change it eventually. black is a timeless classic. you will be amazed of how nice a car you have when you look at that fresh black paint in the sun.
