Alright So my buddy has a Acura intergra with a type R engine which is the b18c with the 200hp stock. heres the mods "list"- its a mostly gutted integra, type r, headers, full exhaust, intake, tuned (dont know anything about what kind of tune) and a 2 step. (supposedly) ran a 13.2 in the 1/4 when the engine and trans and all was in a hatch, but i dont believe it unless i see the time slip as we all know.
I've got a 77k mile 1996 Firebird Formula M6 stock 3.42's slp loudmouth 1 cat back intake and a fresh tune up (plugs, wires, distributor etc) and basically one size bigger rear tires (doubt it makes a difference) they are 255's.
So who do you think would win with bsacially equal drivers in the 1/4 mile?
Do you think i even have a chance in any form of a race, a roll perhaps?
anything i can do to make my odds even better?

I think its a drivers race. 13.2 doesnt really make it seem like he is bluffing and at his power levels shouldnt really be to hard for him to hook up. From a dig you would win. From a roll he would
This is purley going by what he said his time is.

well he bouht this car off some other guy when it was originally a hatcback and the guy told him it ran a 13.2 but who knows the guy would have pulled it out of his ass lol. i just think its funny that he thinks he would destroy my car cause his car is the type R japan version blah integra blah.

In the Integra, he's high 13's, 14's.
Hatches are easily a couple hundred pounds lighter than an Integra. I'd guess high 13's. It should be close.
Get video and let us decide!

Hatches can actually be MUCH more than a couple of hundred pounds lighter than Integras. Granted, this Integra is gutted. But it will still weigh quite a bit more than even a Civic with a full interior. Furthermore, I don't know how much the Civic weighed (they can vary widely from year to year and even among different trim levels in a given year, not to mention the possibility the car could have been gutted). Regardless, 13s are not a problem with Type-R swaps in light Civics (if you must know, my other car is a CRX with a Type-R swap). ESPECIALLY if the engine has a few mods and has been properly tuned. So a gutted Integra with a Type-R swap could probably do low 14's, and maybe even a high 13. As another guy said, this will be a driver's race. But keep in mind that Hondas with decent power under the hood are notoriously hard to launch (believe me, I know). Since there is a pretty good chance this guy could botch his launch and send his power into the air as tire smoke, I would say you have a pretty good chance of beating him. ESPECIALLY if the race is not to go beyond a quarter mile.

exactly
now if he had a k20 in a 92-95 civic hatchback, the civic would win

The REALLY crazy thing is that you can now buy a mount kit from Hasport to swap a V6 into a 1988-2000 Civic. Apparently, the 3.2l type-s motors from the Acura sedans are the way to go. The only problem here is that you cannot get a hood that will actually close. Oh, and the kit requires the use of the a six speed manual. Not that this is in any way bad in and of itself (I would NEVER do a swap with an auto, ESPECIALLY on a Honda). It's just that the number of V6 manuals sold over the years approaches zero. So you might have to wait some time and pay ALOT of money to get a transmission. The engine are actually quite cheap, though (compared to the higher performance four-bangers).

I ran a hatch with a K20 when I was 4.10's and a CAI on my 94 with a T56. He got me by about a car and a half. Just two seats up front and the dash, thats it. He said he was under 2500 lbs and made 205 hp and 140 lb ft at the wheels. Hope this helps some.

I bet if you all race 3 times youll win 2 out of 3.......if you can drive. Im not a Teg fan myself but Ive been surprised before. This a a VERY common car/swap around here and they do run good, but still a good launch from an LT1 should walk. He will stand a lot better chance of beating you from a roll.
