View Full Version : Oh did it feel good to get CALL911 out again!

I put it away in the fall of 2008, and it finally got fired up and drove for the first time yesterday. I carefully drove it running out the old gas, and did a oil change, before opening it up. It still amazes me how much the car impresses me with its power and acceleration (even though I have felt it a million times before).
It really put a big smile on my face to drive it again!
I don't have much time with it before I have to put it away again, so for all those out there that want to see some new footage, I'll try to get some video for people.

I am actually in my home town in Indiana where the car was stored for the last several months (19 but whos counting). I will leave for OK in a week, and the Z will go back in storage. I love the car dearly, and it does start every time I turn the key. But I am definatly not ready to turn it into a DD, and would feel safer about putting it safely back away until I return from OK.
I will be driving the Formula out to OK.

:frustrated:
Due to lousy weather every single time I had a chance to get the car out, I didn't get any footage. I was able to drive it around and in between the rain showers I even got to open it up. But nothing was worth turning the camera on for.
Sorry for the dissapointment for those that might have wanted to see some new footage.
All and all for sitting that long, I am happy that there isn't anything major that needs repair. I am due for a new clutch but that is nothing new. The shocks in my hatch are bad, and need to be replaced. I think the car needs a new fuel filter as it gets a little worse mileage than it did before. A new plug change wouldn't hurt either. All to be replaced next year when I get it out again.
It felt amazing to drive it again. It really reminds me how much I dearly love the car and how it drives/performs. Unfortunatly now I have to go and put it away again for another year
