So I'm leaving McDonalds for my breakest. A camaro pulled up besides me (looked like a 93-96 can't tell), was an LT1 for sure. Well knowing I have a 383 now I wanted some fun, despite a broken tranny mount. I revved up at him to get his attention.

Light goes green, we both gun it, he takes off, and for some reason I'm taking off very slow, but the engine is revving and the speedo was climbing VERY fast, then I jolted and started moving.. I catch up after some time and finally manage to pass him.. We pull over at a parking lot, talk..

So trying to figure out what happened, because it revved but hardly any movement, I thought the tranny slipped or something.. We both looked around, he tells me to come over to my rear right tire, and SMELL it.. Well whattaya know, burnt rubber smell, that tire was spinning from a DEAD stop, and kept going until the momentum finally caught up.

FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

I mentioned to him he should join LTxTech so hopefully he'll join.

EDIT: I should mention, his car was bone stock, so, this was a friendly race anyway, unlike any Ford I'd race.. And it did take a little to catch up.

Right now the tune is just a copy of another 383 LT1 from a friend. I'm gonna have to get a tune just for it though, but only after the PCM is replaced.. I had to modify this tune though for no knock retard since i don't have a knock module for this engine, and code 43 would be triggered.. didn't hear any knock so i think im ok..

I couldn't replicate this odd burnout.. It was while taking a turn, we both took right turns.. I might have hit a bit of sand or something.. I was in front of him..

it took quite a while to catch up though.. in a 1/4 mile he'd win.. clearly an example of power to weight ratio.
