Simple from the bottom.... probably simple from the top also, just clearance issues with the cowl.

im a lil late but there are a bunch of write up on the other forum.... LS1 tech. however honestly if u go thru the top its pretty much self explanatory. accessory bracket, exhaust and drive shaft and torque arm and transmount have to be taken off as well as the intake, and radiator. the condensor an compressor an lines CAN stay in a completely sealed an connected if ur careful motor mount on the drivers side needs disconnected form the block an k, the passenger just need to pull the long bolt out. it can all be done in a couple hours by yourself.

Never taken it out from the bottom before. I have heard it can be done easier, but it just doesn't seem like it would be, as all you need to remove it from the top would be to take off the hood, and hoist it out slowly. I have done this more than once with with success (on top).

hood doesnt need to come off though :) just gotta disconnect the hood struts and prop it foward, mine stands straight up an down by it self without a prop though.
