I was thinking of doing a meth kit on my car. im only running 6psi with out a intercooler so i think meth or water injection would be a good thing to have. what are the pros and con? thanks

do you mean methanol injection or did you mean alcohol injection?

i say go for it, cheap horsepower, and the best part is, you use windshield washer fluid for the methanol!
i just started getting into this whole water/meth thing, i think it's a really cool mod to do.
snow performance makes a good kit: http://www.snowperformance.net/product.php?pk=39

I am running the Alky Control kit and it has made a huge difference. I can run 26* of timing with 15lbs of boost with no knock on my twin front mount intercooler D1SC. With Meth injection you can run more boost and more timing...this equals more Power!!

I helped a friend put a Snow kit on his Mustang (408 w/ a T76 @ 12 psi). He did several other things so I can't say how much it helped but it's a really cool kit and pretty easy to install.

I have a snow performance meth injection kit on my Z in my sig and I love it! I use 1:1 water/meth mix. I spent $12 on 5 gallons of meth years ago, and I still have a little left. It seems some people go through it more than others depending on how often you open up the throttle (I do a LOT) and how big your meth injection injector is.

The idea is simple; running meth injection allows to run more boost, and or more timing safely as it will keep you away from detonation. It is a VERY inexpensive altenative to running race gas, and also a great way to help cool those IAT's. It also can be a saver in your case of keeping you safe without the use of an intercooler.

The bad side is, if your car is tund with meth, and something happens where the meth injection doesn't work all of a sudden, you may end up getting detonation which could lead to engine failure. There are some "safe guards" on this though. I run a green light on my pillar that turns green every time the meth pump kicks on (>4#'s of boost), letting me know it is working. If I was in the throttle and the light didn't come on, I would get out of it immediatly. That and getting a conservative tune can give you a little more wiggle room. Snow Performance also offers a "safe injection" system that will bleed off boost in the event of a pump failure, also preventing possible engine failure.

Thats pretty much the pro's and cons. Overall, it is a great idea that I highly reccomend. I will always run meth injection in all the FI cars I ever own.

Here's a short vid showing my green light on my pillar I was talking about; (you'll see it at 26 seconds into the clip)
