So I was driving home today, when just in front of me I see a car stopped and a couple of guys get out and start running away. As I looked ahead where they were running to, I saw a flipped over SUV. I pulled the e-brake killed the car, and sprinted towards the wreck as well. With the help of a few kind people we were able to pull the middle aged woman from the vehicle safely until the police and ambulance arrived.
Looked like she drove right off the road and the deep ditch was enough to roll the vehicle on its side. Pretty crazy stuff...

If it wasn't for the situation, I just might have had a smile on my face when someone asked "Has anyone called 911?".

I don't really carry my high dollar camera around everywhere. And even if I did, I would be a lot less concerned about taking photo's as I would actually getting the person to safety.

I didn't mean like that. I thought you might have taken some cell pics after you saved that woman. I didn't mean be preoccupied with gawkers syndrome.

I'm not really like the majority of the population. My cell phone is what I use to talk to people. I don't use it to text, take pictures, or surf the net. But then again, I don't pay much for cell phone service either, which frees up funds to go buy a nice camera, internet on a computer and so on.
Maybe I am in the minority as well as for people who would stop and help. I still think that most people are good people, and would help one another in such a time of need like this. I guess it just depends on what kind of person you are. I wouldn't think twice about helping someone out like this. It just seems that it is the right thing to do, and thats why you do it. It was never really a questionable thing. But thats just me...

I have a Palm Centro. I only use the phone and the calendar (just learned how to do that). It has a keyboard, but i do not text. I refuse to pay for that. I rather surf the web on a real computer, I already pay for that servce at home. My cell bill with 3 lines is never over 110 bucks a month.
Back OT:
I cant tell you how many acccidents i have stopped and helped with, let alone helping people with flat tires, stranded, etc.. I did stop for a while when some "a-hole" i helped get out of his car he wrecked into a pole one night south of Philly (he was waaayyy drunk, had cans in the car) had his lawyer send me a sopeana for possilbly causing injuries while helping him out of the car. Thankfully the other guy that stopped helped me was a Lawyer and he had the whole mess "taken care of" LOL. THat was about 10 years ago. Just last week I stopped and helped and elderly couple chage a flat on their Caprice Classic.. go figure..

I live in the country area and i stop all the time for people. Winter time when they are stuck, or i slow down and ask if evrything is ok to a car on the side of the road. I have had a few times that i wish i didnt help. Me and a friend helped a old guy who seemed a little drunk push his truck out of a ditch. As he got to the road he stayed on the gas and sprayed us both w/ rocks and mud. My friends leather coat was full of mud and we were heading out for the night. Another was when i was younger and after school we seen a lady back her van in the ditch and was teetering on one front, one rear. It tooks us a half hr. to get her out. We were kids and thinking she might of gave us a tip(lol). She didnt even roll down the window to say thanks.
But i still do what i can, even though all the a$$holes in the world we come across.

i stop and help people ..... buttttt you got to know where to draw the line , its sad to say but if someone is injured and shit and anything happens to them . there becomes a point where you become liable . like for example if you start doin cpr on someone your not allowed to stop till parametics show up .... everyone is sue happy now a days and the good citizen standard dosent really protect the helper now a days ... dont get me wrong i will still help people in need if its a catastraphy , but you got to call 911 first ...
