Hey guys I just installed my scan master in my car, the motor is still torn down so I didnt turn it on or anything, but while I was trying to decide on how to splice into the dlc to get power and signal from the pcm i had an idea, is it possible to buy the male end of an OBD2 connector and connect the scanmaster wires to the male obd2 connector and just plug it in that way instead of splicing into wires. I think thatd be a much cleaner install and if I ever need to put it on a scanner I can just unplug that connector and plug in the scan tool connector. If this is possible where would I find an obd2 male connector?

No to hi-jack but what exactly does the lt1 scanmaster do?
Is it just a datalogger?

I dont really think it is worth the cost of that connector though. Could try ebay, though those kinda sites are blocked at work.
your car is obd1 with obd2 connector right?

Yeah I found some on ebay for like $8 dollars, so I might just grab one from their.

I got a blank OBD plug along with the pins for my Scanmaster from AKM Cables. Was pretty cheap too.

I did mine that way, got the stuff from AKM as well. Worked great and made it easy to sell when I was done with it.
