I saw a clip for next weeks upcoming episode of MythBusters, and I saw a green TransAm F-Body. :claps: Doing some drifting too.

they did a burnout/will a tire catch fire episode with an LT1 t/a if i remember right. they could have used a mustang but probably didn't have the power to do what they needed :laugh:

haha I saw that episode. It cought my eye as I was flipping because they were running salad shooters on a t/a. It was pretty cool

yeah there was a 95-97 green T/A used for a burnout ep. I think they should do the "can tinted t-tops shatter due to extra heat?" myth.

Hey, as much as I hate it, all in the name of science.
But from what I've heard, the car still works, and one of my buddies in the industry told me that very car IS in fact in the next weeks episode, still running great.

I think they should do the "can tinted t-tops shatter due to extra heat?" myth.
I to have heard this myth for years. My window tint guy even claims it to be true that tint will break your tops.
Ive been a glass man by trade for 8 years. We deal with all kinds of different glass, plexi, lexan, etc....and in my experience I have never found anything to back this up.
However I dont think t tops are actually glass (Ive never broken one) but seem to be some type of lexan or plexi. I can see were the added tint could attract more heat and over time make the tops brittle, but I dont see them just shattering one day.
I could be wrong though.............
