My early birthday present...

I got a Remington 597 LR (.22 caliber).

I picked it up the other day, and did a custom paintjob yesterday (the stock came from the factory in an ugly grey).

Got a good deal on the scope and really looking forward to dialing it in.

It's a ton of fun to shoot, and was really cheep (gun cost me $170, and .22 rounds are $25.00 for 500 rounds).

.22's are so much fun. Ever think about getting a .17? they are lots of fun too, although shells are no where near the price.. lol

hey i did one of those paint jobs a few weekends ago. haha, you used a stencil though, i went outside and collected various leaves and grass. turned out pretty cool. happy early birthday :D

I used both stencils from grenery outside and from a cutout. The problem is the clear coat isn;t holding up as nice as I'd like and the paint is scratching.

I may end up going with a more durable paint in the future.
