What could cause this? Lastnight after getting back home my e-brake is really hard to engage and does not hold the car in the driveway (kind of a steep hill). Its usually pulls up and engages with ease, but this time it is real hard to pull up. I can only pull it up half as much as usual. Then it keeps popping, releasing and dropping back down. It will not stay engaged now and worked perfectly fine about 10 minutes earlier.

I looked at it a little more today, and only the passenger side is engaging. After I release the parking brake it does not completely disengage. I can make it fully disengage by hand by crawling under the back side and manually pulling it. Is it possible I have a caliper thats sticking? I know this doesnt explain why the other side is not working, just wonder if a sticking caliper is part of my problem?

the piston in the caliper could be sticking or you might have to just re-adjust the parking brake

Have the exact same problem after having my calipers coated, and all new brake components in. I figured it may be the new thicker pads, or the line is just a pos (although it did work before the powder coating). I'm not aware of anything that is adjustable, and it functions like it should, just that it's not holding the car in place. May just need to replace the line?
If I can find one cheap then that's what I'll be doing, then on to the calipers and pads till I find what it is.
