This is my buddy Branden's car. Firebird formula ls1 with a vortec set on 10lbs and E85.
Car put down 543 to the rear wheels. He's running stock stall, 3:73's and 315 MT radials on the back. Doesn't spin out of the hole at all.
I raced him a while and he got me by about 3 cars. I had no bottle heater and my bottle only had 550 psi because it's still really cold at night out here. Not to mention I was also on street tires.
Well he came up and we lined em up again since I had gotten the bottle heater all wired up and was on my slicks.
First run I got him by about 1/2 a car at the end. I was peddling it like CRAZY trying to get my clutch to hook, it slipped in 2nd and 3rd BAD on the spray. 4th it didn't feel like it was slipping and I pulled away from him HARD. but I think it still was slipping a little in 4th because I hit the rev limiter way sooner than I normally do.
We went the 2nd time and I got him out of the hole a little harder, same shit in 2nd and 3rd pedaling it trying to get my clutch to grab, then in 4th I just leave his ass. 2 cars out on him and pulling away strong when I tapped the limiter in 4th again at only about 112.
