I have a 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula, with 74k orig miles, skip shift bypass, sequential tail lights, Black, 6-speed, black leather in great shape, tune up less than 20k miles ago, brand new tires, no rust, brass headlight gears, t-tops always ran synthetic oil and always garage kept. This car is literally in mint condition and very solid, runs as good as new never ever beaten on. I jsut want to know what you guy's think this car would be worth. heres some older pictures of when i got it a few months ago. oil pressure is excellent, never below 45 when cruising in 6th at 50mph and 60 psi when getting into the throttle.

With the economy the way it is I would say 500-1000 less then KBB.

Thats a good point, however anything is worth as much as someone is willing to spend. I'd pay top dollar for a low mi 6spd LT1 F-body....

I paid 5300 for mine over a year ago and it had 35K at the time. If I was looking again I would most likely offer somewhere between 4000-4500.

well i was kinda throwing around the idea of selling it in a few months maybe, i am not sure yet, i kinda feel like im just not going to enjoy it as much as i thought i would. i want something different sometimes. I feel like I'd want something more liveable for a daily driver as ill be graduating and on to bigger and better things. i do still want a nice car though, im not going to settle for something boring and average. i just dont know what i want. I'd take a 94-96 impala ss maybe, or a chevy pickup like the one i first drove (which i still have but dont need or want a 2500.)

i would prob be considered nuts for selling it since its clean and its hard to find a clean never smoke in or abused lt1 f-body car, but hey if i dont enjoy it someone else can!

Wow, so you got the other F-body, struggled to get it right.... it never got right, so you took it back, searched for another one, then got a decent low mileage one instead of the IMPALA your"buddy" had... and now only a few months later you wanna get rid of it....?

Good Luck man, sounds like you need to figure out what you like before you waste anymore money.....

I think what he's asking, is what would you be willing to pay for it, if you were in the market for a 6 spd lt1 fbody.

I'd ask $5k and take $4,500. Even if it's pretty low mileage, it's a 14 year old car. Granted if you don't NEED to sell it you can ask whatever you want.

my car is worth more to me than i could ever get for it,thats why it will stay by my side,,id say you could get 5k or so with it cleaned up inside and out or even more if the right 16-17 yr old comes along with parents willing to buy them what they want

yeah, well i dont know what i wanna do at this pont, i think a mix of dealing with the first piece of crap firebird, and having my dad tell me 10810239812 times over that "your gonna regret selling your truck one day" "Your gonna miss your truck" or why get rid of a great running truck" about ruined my whole wanting an f-body experience, and now even when finally getting a good f-body thats in great condition, and now i said one day to my dad the other day that i could sell it soon if i really got bored of it and his repsonse was "im shocked, i thought you loved this car" really begins to mess with your head after a while ya know. when 5 months ago my dad told me "you could sell your truck and get a car" i dont blame you for getting tired of driving something you never use for its purpose.

ive got to be misunderstanding that^^ are you really saying that you want to sell your car youve had a few months because of something your dad said about your truck? excuse me while i bite my tongue a little:disagree:

I sold my truck (very similar to yours) before I got my car and don't regret it. But I do plan on getting another truck to DD in the near future. Even if its just a beater.

and bowtie racer, i plan on doing that same thing one day.

Just because your dad tells you to sell it and drive the truck, doesn't mean you have to, If he likes trucks, let him drive them. you be an stupid to sell it. If you loss interest in the car, thats different then. Always do what you want, and what makes you happy. Don't take offense to what I said, just giving my .02

Agreed.... to all of the guys above.. its probably time in your life to start to "smile and nod" but do what YOU want to do with your life, your money and your time.... not what "daddy" wants. you follow?

It may be worth $5,000 (would be worth more if it had less miles on it). However with today's market as it is, and being a basic bolt on car and being a Formula not a T/A, I would say you would find more buyers if you asked $4,000 for it.

With even getting just $5,000 for it, if it were me, I'd just keep the thing and enjoy the beauty that it is.

LOL my car on KBB is worth 6g's and the only problem it has is a whine in the rear. Got all of the bearings for it and it cost me 125 dollars. Here is the best part I got it for 1250. 96 red z 6sp with 70k
