Who has done it and what exactly is the best setup for this, (if there is more than one).

I've heard to go with a crank trigger, as that will eliminate the need for the opti completely with the swap. Also I've read that the truck coils give out a little hotter spark.

At this point the setup I'm looking at going with is the truck coils, crank trigger, and a msd digital 6, with this box http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/bai-ltcc.html . If there is a better way to go about doing this, I'd like to know before I start buying up parts.

BTW my reason for this, on the way up to PA from FL the opti had a catastrophic failure, ended up leaving me stuck in some little podunk town in SC, ended up buying the only new opti any place had within 100mi, and then changed it in a hotel parking lot for 2 days.

Is Bob Bailey still in business doing the LTCC setups? That's the easiest way.

That link I posted is for the LTCC box, but lingenfelter was the only place I could find that sells it.

Matt Talk to Kenny or Rick about it, they know all about it, IMO I actually wouldn't put the money there right now since you just bought an opti...and it adds no power

http://www.bailey-eng.com/LTCC.html

part way down it says "Email Bob Bailey (turbobob@bailey-eng.com) for purchasing or technical information about the LTCC sytem. "

BTW, Lingenfelter and the LTCC site both list them at $399

It's one of the things on my list... but it's a long list.... and it's not on top for me.

i have the LTCC swap with coils off a 2000 ram air T/A. Bob Bailey recomends a specific coil to use with the part number on his site. the ltcc swap is awesome and super easy to do
