Any Ideas how fast this stang might be??

Theres a guy with a 96 Cobra that wants to race me. I wanna see what you all think his car will run power it makes????
Its a 96 cobra, forged crank, pistons, billet rods, twin 57mm turbos, supossedly has stock cams, pcm, intake, heads and runs on 93.
Ive seen kits that say about 700hp with cams etc.

It looks fast reading all the mods you named....but I would say it really depends on who built and set the car up. I would say if he has that much $$ in it, its probably done right, but Ive seen some big money builds that were slow for what they had.

Pardon my ignorance, but the 96 Cobra's didn't have the 5.0 correct? They stopped the 5.0 in the GT's in 95, I am just wondering if they continued into 96 with the Cobra's only?

Stock heads, intake, pcm, and cams? Granted he has twins on there, but that motor sounds like it is choked up a lot. Maybe that's good for turbo's? I know nothing about turbo builds...

Turbos dont need as much head/intake work since the air is forced through the engine. 96 was the first yr 4v motor if i remeber correct. Basically the same as a 03/04 Cobra with out stock forged internals or a blower. They were factory rated at 305, but thats way high compaired to everyone Ive raced b4.

there are so many variables it is almost impossible to guess, he could easily be making over 700 to 800

but what i will say is that it is fairly common for big hp modulars to be using stock cams and intake manifolds from cobras

He could also only be makind 400 depending on boost. Oh, thats a B headed Cobra, those heads suck compared to Termi's.

i say its at least a 9 second car, pm MPE331LX on here an ask him. Hes got a few cobras one 96 that runs 9s.
